SWSCC Suppliers’ Day attendees who stopped at BASF booth (Booth 418) were able to view formulation concepts with bemotrizinol (BEMT), marketed under the BASF trademark Tinosorb S in the US.
BEMT was recently approved as UV filter by the US FDA.

BASF’s Tinosorb S is a broad-spectrum UV filter that provides protection across both the UVA and UVB ranges. In addition to its UV protection, Tinosorb S is recognized for its photostability and ability to improve the photostability of other UV filters, according to BASF.
BASF’s Diane K. Tom, who was at SWSCC Suppliers’ Day in Dallas, also recently presented “Maximized Protection: Your Roadmap for Sunscreen Optimization,” at the NYSCC’s Next-Generation Sunscreens Event, which was held earlier this month.
